SEB Board reviews the Premium Payment Program and Benefits 24/7

On May 2, 2024, the School Employees Benefits Board (SEB Board) met. Members attended in person at the Health Care Authority (HCA) building in Olympia and remotely. The meeting was open to the public both in person and via Zoom.

The Board approved the following resolution:  

  • SEBB 2024-08 — UMP diagnostic and supplemental breast exam coverage: Beginning January 1, 2025, diagnostic and supplemental breast exams to be covered without member cost share to Uniform Medical Plan (UMP) members. UMP High Deductible members need to meet their deductible before the plan will pay any portion of the claim. 

HCA staff provided presentations on the following:  

  • Follow up on a question about overlap between the SEBB Program and the Public Employees Benefits Board (PEBB) Program from the April meeting 
  • Clarification of first-dollar coverage for the UMP High Deductible Health Plan 
  • Update on the Benefits 24/7 online enrollment system 
  • Overview and background of the HCA Premium Payment Program (PPP)

The next public meeting of the SEB Board is scheduled for June 6, 2024, at 9 a.m. Board members and the public may attend in person (masks are optional) or virtually via Zoom.
