Hospital provider participation requirements
Learn more about our Cascade Select procurement!
The Health Care Authority (HCA) developed rules to align with the requirements of Senate Bill 5377, which pertains to Cascade Select. This bill provides that if a public option plan is not available in each county during plan year 2022 or later, certain hospitals must contract with at least one public option plan to provide in-network services to enrollees.
Complaint and compliance processes
HCA adopted enforcement rules, as directed by the legislation, to ensure hospitals comply with these contracting requirements. View the rules.
If you wish to file a formal complaint against a provider in non-compliance with Cascade Select contracting rules, please complete the complaint form, and email it to us.
HCA is also collecting information on contracting difficulties for Cascade Select plans. Carriers, other entities, or persons are encouraged to contact us if you:
- Think a provider may not be following Cascade Select contracting rules.
- Have questions or concerns about difficulties contracting with providers.
- Have questions about how to proceed with a potential complaint.
