PEBB and SEBB members: Cyberattack on UnitedHealth Group company may affect you

A recent cyberattack on Change Healthcare, a company owned by UnitedHealth Group (UHG) that provides medical eligibility, claims, and pharmacy services affecting many Americans, may have resulted in personal data being compromised. 

UHG is the parent company of UnitedHealthcare (UHC). Although the PEBB Program offers medical plans from UHC, the cyberattack did not just affect members enrolled in UHC plans.

They also have a dedicated call center (1-866-262-5342) to offer free credit monitoring and identity theft protection for two years to anyone affected. Given the ongoing nature and complexity of the data review, the call center will not be able to provide an specifics on individual data impacted.
