Washington State Courts Juvenile Service Divisions
Washington State Court Juvenile Service Divisions are eligible for partial reimbursement for the time their staff spend performing Apple Health (Medicaid) administrative activities that support the state's Medicaid plan.

Examples of eligible administrative activities include:
- Assisting individuals in applying for or renewing Apple Health coverage.
- Attending or presenting training related to Apple Health-covered services.
- Explaining and linking individuals and their families to Apple Health-covered services.
- Referring individuals and families to Apple Health-covered services such as behavioral health treatment if it is directly related to the client care and medically necessary.
- Working with agencies and providers of medical, dental, mental health, substance use disorder treatment, and family planning services to improve the coordination and delivery of services to expand Apple Health access to specific populations.
- Arranging and coordinating transportation, translation, and interpretation for Apple Health-covered services.
Staff participate in a quarterly Random Moment Time Study (RMTS) to determine the amount of time they spend performing Medicaid administrative activities. UMass Chan Medical School operates the web-based time study. The school is available to provide system related technical assistance as needed.
The Health Care Authority (HCA) manages the MAC program in Washington state and is responsible for oversight and monitoring of the program. HCA is available to provide program assistance as needed.
